Duke and Kansas both dropped a couple spots after suffering tough losses (Duke home vs. Miami (FL) in OT, Kansas @ Missouri). Murray State continues to move up the rankings and stay undefeated (23-0) sit at 7th in the current poll (Even though, the current bracketology has them as a #6 seed, ha good figure.

CBB Schedule for this week:

Ohio State Buckeyes 20-3 (8-2)
You figured the Buckeyes would win in the Kohl Center one of these days, just didn’t think it would take so long. After nine attempts (Kohl Center was built in 2000), the Buckeyes finally beat the Badgers up in Madison. On Saturday afternoon, the Buckeyes led by Jared Sullinger (24 points and 10 rebounds), hung on late to beat the Badgers 58 to 52. Deshaun Thomas added 16 points and 6 rebounds with his go-go gadget arms cleaning up on the offensive boards. William Buford continues to add to his all-time scoring with 11 points, but shot just 4 of 15 from the field. Aaron Craft and Lenzelle Smith Jr. played some great defense. The Buckeyes only made 1 of 7 3-pt attempts (Buford), however, used the low post game (Big Sully) and the free throw line (13-16 FT). The Badgers shot only 18 % from the arc (5 of 27), hung around all game, but went cold down the stretch. The Buckeyes who are alone on time of the Big Ten Standings face Purdue in Columbus tonight and then host Michigan State on Saturday. The Buckeyes still have plenty of big match-ups left on their schedule and continue to look like one of the better teams in the country at this point.

Cleveland Cavs 9-13

The Cavs went 1-2 this past week, however, are only a ½ game out of the 8th and final playoff spot in the East. The Cavs hosted the C’s last Tuesday as their late minute rally fell short losing, 93 to 90. Then dropped their 7th straight meeting vs. the Magic down in Orlando Friday Night, 102-94. However, the Cavs were able to prevail over the defending NBA Champion Mavs on Saturday Night in Cleveland, winning 91 to 88, on another highlight reel drive and score from Rookie PG Kyrie Irving. The Cavs have a tough-stretch coming up this week with games @ Miami and home games vs. the Clippers, Bucks, and 76ers. During this stretch, the Cavs have 11-games, with a 9-game home stand sandwich between two roadies. As a Cavs fan, I just want to see them hang around and continue to fight for a playoff spot.

I THINK WE FOUND KYRIE IRVING
