Chud Nation: Browns Draft Preview and other matters

One thing is for sure in this year's draft, Leon Sandcastle
will not be the #1 overall pick to the Kansas City Chiefs.
The excitement of free agency has come and gone, the thrill of seeing your team's 2013 schedule released, was last week's news, meaning only one thing left to do this off-season in the NFL. The 2013 NFL Draft beginning with first round coverage LIVE Thursday Night at 8PM on ESPN, or what some people like to call the "Roger Goodell Reality Show". Coverage will continue into Friday Night with Rounds 2 & 3, then conclude on Saturday with Rounds 4, 5, 6, and 7.

Uh Oh....
So...pretty quite up in Cleveland last week, huh? Haha, beginning with the firing of Cavs Head Coach Byron Scott after three seasons at the helm, news developed that the Pilot Flying J Headquarters that Browns owner Jimmy Haslam presides over as the CEO, was...yes folks, RAIDED BY THE FBI/IRS. Although, Haslam has commented of doing no wrongdoing, and the NFL at this point, has said they don't plan to act on anything at this time. Regardless, whatever comes out of this whole FBI/IRS investigation, as a Browns fan, you just gotta shake your head, and think "what else can happen". For a team, that has been struggling ever since their return to the league in 1999, finally seemed to have the right guy overlooking the day-to-day operations, now is having his business RAIDED BY THE FBI AND IRS. Oh, yeah the only positive of last week, the Indians were swept by the Red Sox at Progressive Field, but we'll discuss more of that, later on this week.

Browns WR Greg Little: Browns new look offense, "receiver's dream"

  • Yeah, I'll believe it, when I see it. Last time I checked Brandon Weeden still the starting QB.
Orange & Brown have concerns with Dee Milliner's shoulder.
  • Oh yes, the classic, we may not be interested in this player tactic.
Cleveland Browns have made calls about trading down.
  • Quite possibility this might be the Browns best bet, but it better come with getting a 2nd round pick in this year's draft.
Cleveland Browns reportedly want to draft new QB.
  • Two things here on the above report, this and that. Oh what the heck maybe even these two things too.
Fourteen Years of Shockingly Bad Football: Cleveland Browns
In the end, with a new front office and coaching staff in place, now is the time to land some quality guys, that can come in and help the other guys already in place, and provide an immediate impact to this franchise. It's now or never for this storied franchise....

If you can't wait around till the NFL Draft on Thursday Night, tune-in tonight and watch the ESPN 30 for 30 special, Elway to Marino, at 8PM on ESPN.
