#2 Miami Heat vs. #4 Boston Celtics
Regular Season Series: Celtics 3-1
How they got to this point:
Heat beat in the Knicks in 5 & Pacers in 6 (8-3)
Celtics beat the Hawks in 6 & 76ers in 7 (8-5)
How I see it:
Seemed like the Celtics had the Heat's number during the regular season beating them three times in the four meetings (with neither Rondo, Pierce, Allen, and Garnett playing all together in either of the four games). This is a rematch of last years Eastern Conference Semifinals, in which the Heat won in 5, and afterwards celebrated like they had just won the Eastern Conference Championship (not so fast my friends). The Heat have had four days off now since their series with the Pacers, while the Celtics are just 48 hrs. out of playing a Game 7 vs. the 76ers. What sort of condition will the Celtics be in after two straight grind it out series against the Hawks and Sixers. Looks like the Heat have got things together after that Game 3 defeat vs. the Pacers in the Eastern Conference Semifinals, but will they be able to keep winning with LeBron and Wade doing the majority of the scoring. Will Chris Bosh, be able to come back and if so, what sort of contribution will he be able to have. This is the last (best) chance for the Celtics Big Three plus Rondo to get back to the NBA Finals, which would mark the 3rd trip in 5 years for that core group of players. What role do each teams benches play in this series? How the Celtics are able to slow down LeBron and Wade will determine how this series will go. Either team will struggle vs. who ever comes out of the West, so ill say... Heat in 7. Its ok for them to get to the NBA Finals, as long as they lose, haha.
